Holiday fun

Thank you for joining me on the Ruby Cookie Exchange!

First, a little about me……….

I’m Julia Day, writer of YA fiction. I have two YA contemporary romances: The Possibility of Somewhere (available now) and Fade to Us (coming in February). I also write YA magical realism as Elizabeth Langston: time-travel (Whisper Falls) and genies (I Wish).

To celebrate the holiday season, The Possibility of Somewhere is on sale (ebook) for $2.99. And during the Cookie Exchange, I’m giving away a copy as an ebook giftcard from Amazon. See below for details on how to enter..

Set during a summer musical theater camp, Fade to Us tells the story of Brooke, her autistic stepsister Natalie, and Micah–a guy they both like, in different ways.

“Warm and sensitive, Day’s deft depiction of difficult sibling and blended family relationships will make you laugh, cry, and sigh. A wonderful book!” – Sabrina Jeffries, NYT bestselling author

Here is my easy, no-bake recipe for Orange Ball cookies–my husband’s favorite!

Orange Balls

1 12-oz box of vanilla wafers, finely crushed
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 cup of pecans, chopped fine
Powdered sugar or flaked coconut

Mix crushed wafers and powdered sugar. Add butter and mix. Stir in orange juice. The mixture will be thick and sticky. With your hands, blend in the pecans. Mix thoroughly. Form into small balls, then roll in either powdered sugar or coconut. Store in refrigerator or freezer. Best when served chilled.

There are other cookie recipes to collect–and a grand prize giftcard to enter for. So keep visiting my Ruby Sisters:
